Solving the Problem

One of a coach’s thorniest problems is turning potential hitters into feared opponents! The reason is that it takes so much time and attention. The hitter must practice the same swing repeatedly. That can fatigue - and sometimes even injure - the players, and it requires countless soft tosses.

Increasing Bat Speed

To increase your bat speed, you must move the muscle fiber (quick twitch muscle reactions) in that direction. Players cannot swing a regular bat (overload) fast enough nor get in the high number of repetitions necessary to bring about these physiological changes in the muscle fiber. Underloading will give you the ability to swing fast twitch muscle movement, key in getting the bat around faster to improve hitting.

Infinite Repeatability

So that’s how the Speed Bat does its part. The Wheeler Dealer offers the player and coach the infinite patience and perfect repeatability of just the right soft toss for the drill the player needs. You set the height (from 1 to 6 feet) and the interval (from 1 to 6 seconds), and the Wheeler Dealer tosses the ball the same way every time, exactly where the player needs it. The sturdy little machine holds 18 softballs or 24 baseballs, and can also serve up tennis dimple and whiffle balls.

The Wheeler Dealer gets its name in part from the wheels that make the handy-little fold up unit so easy to deploy. A player can roll the rechargeable unit to an unused part of the practice field and be at work on his or her swing in moments. (An AC version is also available.)

Ball Retrieval Solution
