"I began using Nemo's speedbat training techniques as a sophomore in college. Nemo incorporated small amounts of his hitting style into my already matured style of swing, and within days I could feel and see the difference. Over the course of one season my bat speed and power increased tremendously. The potential benefit of Nemo's techniques were so evident that I dedicated the following summer (between the end of my Chemeketa Community College carrier, and the transfer to my new Lee University home) to doing the unimaginable after playing softball for 14 years – totally reconstructing my swing based on Nemo’s teachings. By the end of a 2 month time period of hard work, dedication, and a repetition of over 10,000 swings, my bat speed had again increased substantially and I had no wasted movements in my swing at all. I went from being a consistent hitter, to a consistent power hitter – from 1-3 homeruns in a season, to 10-12. I wouldn’t have been able to compete at the level that I was able to compete at if it weren’t for the help of Nemo’s speedbat training. Nemo himself truly cares about his players and teams, and is constantly trying to develop new drills and hitting aides that will continue to develop his students into becoming the best hitters that they can be."

"The Tualatin Xtreme spent the winter with Coach Nemo going through his program. Coach Nemo kept it interesting, fast paced and the girls were excited for the next practice to see who won the weeks prize for the most home swings. As a team we estimated that we had about 240,000 swings. The results speak for themselves. 34 runs over 4 games and a third place trophy. We have continued our home swing program and have incorporated his drills into our hitting practice."

"The team has come together in all facets: Pitching, defense and offense. We are typically scoring 7 to 10 runs per game. We had one game with 19 runs. We have placed third in two , second in one and first in two tournaments out of the 7 we have played."

NEMO’S 10,000 SPEED SWING CLUB

The players were challenged to become members of Nemo's Ten Thousand Speed Swing Club. The expectations were as follows: each athlete 5 times per week at home would earn 200 (Dry Swings) per night. This would give them 1,000 speed swings per week for a total of 8,000 swings at the completion of the 8 week period.

In addition to the individual home practices the team would meet with Coach Nemo in a team setting once per week for 8 ( ninty minute practice sessions ) where they would earn an additional 800 swings per session done in a speed circuit training format. Total speed swings for 8 sessions with Coach Nemo would be 6,400.

Summary: Take the 1,000 home swings times 8 sessions and the total will be 8,000 swings. Now take the 800 speed circuit training swings per week time 8 sessions and you will get a total of 6,400. Combining both forms of practices one would come up with a grand total of 14,400 swings for the 8 week period.

NOTE: Reviewing the individual statistics one can clearly see that these ladies were quite motivated and at home did more than the requird 200 swings per night per week.

Iowa State Baseball Champions

*****JUST ASK THE EAGLES! *****

The Eagles of Eagle Grove, Iowa hadn't competed in a state baseball tournament since 1946, now there have been two in a row. Thanks to a lot of drive and determination by the players, excellent coaching, and Nemo's Speed Bat, invented by Coach Dennis "Nemo " Tessicini.

Around February of 2001 a bat and a video from Coach Nemo were ordered and additionally several bats were donated to the team. The team wanted to see if the equipment would live up the the inventor's claims. It did just that, and more.

"The 2001 summer baseball season for the Eagles was one to be remembered. We established a school record for the most wins, a season with a 26-8 record, and placing 2nd in Class 2A in the state."

"The 2002 Eagles baseball season picked up were the 2001 season left off. We established a school record for the most wins in a season with 31 wins and 3 losses capturing the Iowa Class 2 A State championships.

" Seven of the nine starters had a batting average over .300. A lot of the success, I believe, is the different drills we used with Nemo's Speed Bat". I feel it gave the kids faster bat speed through the plate and better eye -to-ball coordination. We hit in the gym, because of the wet spring and every ball player swung the Speed Bat at least 50 times a night. I advise a lot of schools to try Nemo's Speed Bat. It works. I'm a firm believer in it." Head Coach Bruce Rholl.

"The Speed Bat helped me to center on the sweet spot on the bat. My concentration has improved which helped me to target the middle of the ball. This bat has given me real confidence at the plate". Senior Ryan O'Hern

" The Speed bat was a great aid to me throughout the season. While improving my hand-eye coordination and wrist strength it also boosted my confidence at the plate. Senior Luke Peterson.

2002: The Venoms 14U Team

The Venom 2001 season was very grim as far as batting went. When we went to find some help, we kept hearing about Nemo's Speedbat Training Program. We finally made a decision to hire Coach Nemo during and towards the end of the 2001 season and immediatlely saw an improvement with our team .... We continued it through the winter and before the 2002 season began, our whole team had joined the elite 10,000 Speed Swing club...

Note: Our 2002 season batting stats had more than doubled from the 2001 season. We finished the season with some impressive batting averages at the state championships with a "team" batting average of .452!!

Results for the 2002 season: One 1st place finish in tournament play, Five 3rd place finishes in tournament play, a 7th place finish at the state tournament, and a 4th place award at the NFSPA Nationals....

"Sage Gold" 12 U

Arlington, Virginia

Coach: The Arlington Sage has been using your "Nemo" bat and speed training drills since May of this year. The original goal that I established was for each player to reach 10,000 swings by the end of the summer. Achieving this goal was rewarded by the individual receiving a personalized "10,000 Swing Club" warm-up jacket.
To date I have 6 players to reach the 10,000 mark with one, well on her way to 20,000. Five other girls are within striking distance and should make it by the end of the season.

The results are impressive. Using a bat speed velocimeter, I measured each individuals bat speed at the beginningof the program and then calculated the average team bat speed. The overall team bat speed has increased by 15% since May. The team batting average has increased from .390 in early June to a very respectable .475 in August. The girls leading this charge are all Nemo bat 10,000 swing club members. What can I say, it works.

However, as with any workout, you must continue to work at it. The 10,000 swing goal is just the first goal, the girls must keep setting higher goals to keep their "muscle memory" from fading.

The 12U Arlington Sage -Gold are a Tournament fastpitch softball team from Arlington, Virginia. They will be competing this September in the "First Responders Cup" which is a softball tournament played in Arlington, VA, virtually in the shadow of the Pentagon to honor and comemorate our fallen and surviving heroes of the tragic events of 911, now 2 years past.

Thank for your help, Coach Severn
